小型のレーザー兵器が実用化？
ミサイルを打ち落とすことを目的に作られた小型のレーザー兵器の開発が進められているそうです。大きさは冷蔵庫程度で重さは750Kgほど。名称は「高出力レーザー地域防衛システム」（HELLADS）。
これによって従来は大型航空機にしか載せれなかったものが、小型の戦闘機にも搭載できるようになったとか。これってミサイル防衛構想で、敵ミサイル発射初期段階でレーザー使って撃破すとか言ってた奴の発展系ですかねぇ。
スターウォーズといっても実際には光速でビームが飛んでくるわけですから映画のように避けれませんがｗ
